In the past, working up to 4th of July I would be getting ready to have a nice weekend with my hubby; maybe even planning to catch the fireworks show. This year… I want to burn the flag, not celebrate it. We are not free here in the states and daily more of our rights are taken away and the politicians in our society are just voting it through… And the rest have their heads in the sand if they are not cringing at what is happening.
Our government is using hate speech, manipulation and coercion if not straight up murder and bribery to get what they want. We are sitting at the dawn of an age when no one in the united states are free. we are all subject to the whim of the rich and tiny dcked politicians who don’t want to help anyone but themselves and just want to hurt people who are already hurting.
They plan to take away our healthcare, our preventive doctors’ visits, our mammograms, our hormone therapy and mental health and food programs that help tens of millions of people get through what is already an unjust society built by white men who thought they could control anyone or suppress anyone that disagrees. They don’t get to be pro-rape, pro-nazi, and pro-slavery without consequences.
Please contact your congress person to stop the biggest role back of healthcare for Americans in our history!! This link is specific to the reproductive rights that are being voted away by this upcoming bill that if passed would close even more planned parenthood facilities in our country. This is one of the few places low income families have to get reproductive and sex education and supplies like condoms and birth control, get pap smears to know if they are healthy and cancer free as well as many other programs; NONE of which has ever included the paying of abortions and if you think they do, go educate yourself by walking into one and talking to the staff. Then take a moment to look around at those that don’t have many if any options for their health care. And stop judging people and let them get the care they deserve!!! How do I know this? Well, I used it as a poor kid. So you heard it from someone who had birth control options when an abusive boyfriend was trying to get me pregnant so I wouldn’t leave him. He would have killed me eventually, and probably while I was pregnant. Afterall, I woke up to him strangling me before I was even pregnant, so thank the Universe THAT never happened. But if it did I would have aborted that baby in a heartbeat; all he wanted was to trap me so he could kill me. So fuck you if you think it’s ok to say he could rape me for 9 months and force me to have his kid. If you are a human you believes all humans deserve access to healthcare, please contact your congress person by using this easy way to get a nice letter to your representative autogenerated so you can easily protest and share your opinion.
